Dissolving to identify a substance

Properties of matter help us identify substances. For example, in the picture above you see how salt and sugar dissolve in water. Using that a reference we can definitely say that Cup A is neither salt nor sugar. We know that cup B contains sugar, because   gfiuef.vjsdbv. We also know that cup C conatains salt becausek c.kjhf;oihvjknaf;oihew'ofih. On the other hand, cup A lkchnjabchfenkcoiewhkjcbliuehf;jdnc.kjahfoiaehf.nad;oiwafhfjn;iuewfyfanihyfaewhroiehnffkhf;in.dkshc;oiwfk.jwbkurwf.ihweoifn.ewfjwnc;osufdhkjwbfiewuyfewn.  Since the contents of cup A do not dissolve the same as the contents in the salt and sugar cups, we can conclude that cup A is neither salt nor surgar.

The scientific Method

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/engineering-design-process/engineering-design-compare-scientific-method

The scientific method is a method that allows scientists to answer questions. The first step is observation. An observation is gathering info on a topic. The next step is defining the problem. This is followed by the hypothesis, which is a possible solution to the problem.  Next comes the fun part. You experiment to find out if your solution works. You must remember to write down your results so you do not forget them. Finally, you draw conclusions which is what you learned from your experiment.
